Once upon a time, in a small, sun-drenched café in Paris, I overheard a conversation. An American tourist was trying to ask for the menu, and he said, "Pleeease, could you tell me how to pronounce 'problem'?" The French server, with a twinkle in her eye, replied, "Oh, that's easy! It's like 'PROH-blahm' with a French accent, like 'pro' and 'bleu' from 'bleu cheese' but faster." I watched as the tourist nodded, grateful for the quick lesson, and went on to enjoy his croissant and café au lait.
Years later, I still remember that café, the laughter, and the simple exchange of language. It made me think about how something so small, like learning a new way to pronounce a word, can create a lasting memory. And what if we all approached life with that same curiosity, learning little things here and there, just like that tourist and the café server?
